Default Watch your Ipod volume at the gym!!

I read a new study that just came out saying that listening to an IPod at 60% volume or more in excess of 40 minutes can increase your risk of going deaf by up to 20%!!!

This of course probably affects many of us because we blast music in the gym and are usually there for atleast 40 minutes.

The study said to get an earpiece that doesn't go directly in your ear.

i wouldn't have to worry becuase my gym has satellite radio and plays pretty decent music. however, lifting to dance beats gets annoying. but occasionally they'll play metal stations.

Disturbeds' new album is awesome to listen to while working out. Hatbreeds' "Rise of Brutality" is awesome too.

that sounds like one of those new gadgety thing-a-ma-dodads them kids have strapped to their ears.

Never taken any music to the gym. Am I there to lift, or there to listen to the music? Pick one and go at it hard

Us old people are already deaf, we don't need any fancy equipment to help.

Silly old people.

Hey hrpii, when you go to the gym, do they let you chain your walker to the bike rack?

I have a strap on it, so I can do weighted dips with my walker, but it's more interesting to see how I do squats with it.

There's a new study that says that listening to music that you like may increase athetic and total power output by up to 5%.

That's a pretty good thing to mix both blast music and exercise, as long as you keep your focus on your weight lift

That statement sounds like it came from MuscleTech.

AD: We here at MuscleTech are constantly improving the way you can build a better body. With Creakic and Gakic, mixed with the right MuscleTech approved music, you will increase muscle mass by 732%

The gym I go to now has a questionaire on the desk asking for peoples preferred music as there are too many complaints ~ I took my favourite Backstreet Boys music in with me but they didn't have a tape deck .

you should try a creative zen, they're way way louder...I tried to impress my brother by being able to listen to it on full blast and like 5 minutes later when I got home all I could hear was ringing...just like after a good concert!
