Default New York baby!!!

Me and two friends are planning to go to New York in March 2007

We are planning to stay for 5 days, bars, site seeing, bars and maybe a few bars

Looking at return air fare, hotels and the other formalities...

After a good 8 hours on the plane we'll need some good places to go to, any ideas?!

Typical lads holiday as we are running dry on a few stories to tell the kids in the future!

TKD GUY might I suggest the Paladium, if it is still in existance, or the Limelite. Both of them were marvelous places even before MTV found them. Be prepared to stay out all night. I remember looking at my watch and it was 4:30 in the am! I was used to last call being at 1:30 and out the door by 2:00! Of course I was much younger back then.

hotels are cheap over there! looking at some of the 4 stars they are only $180 a night

They have a pool and a gym too... might be a bit tempting to sway away from drinking to have a workout

Cool bro! What made you choose NY,NY? I have never been there, but my GF has and she loved it. If you want the best pizza in town try John's of Bleeker St. If you want awesome Thai food check out: www. t h i n k n o o d l e s. c o m they deliver anywhere in NY. Virgil's BBQ is right off of Time Square and it is the closest thing you will get to southern barbeque in NY.

NY is cool, you are going to like it. I have not been there since 99. But when the wife and I were there it was during Thanksgiving for the Macy's Day Parade that was cool. Lots to do, The only thing that I thought was strange was that there were more poeple underground in the subway systems than above ground. Good thing you are planning you're trip with lot's of time.

I am about 1 hour from the Big Apple. Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, The Village, Central Park, South Street Seaport... All places you must see. The limelite and palladium were definitely a place to club back in the day. Webster Hall is also a jumping club, if they are still there. Haven't been there to these clubs in about 10 years, since I was 22. To be honest with you, I am not very fond of NYC. It is too crowded and the cabs are crazy. But it is definitely the place to go for Tourists. You will find tons of bars, clubs, restaurants, etc. Have fun!!! and save up, cause everything is expensive in New York!!

Cubanchick mentioned cabs, avoid them unless you know exactly where you are going (they will circle the block for more $$). If you don't mind haggling, try hailing a limo. For about the same price as a cab, you get a limo from most hotels to take where you want to go! Have a great trip and be safe!
