Need digital camcorder advice/reccomendations...

I broke my digital camera a while back so now its time to replace it. I want to get a digital camcorder so i can upload videos to my computer, but at the same time i also want to be able to take still photos. Are there any digital camcorders that take pictures? i still want to take pictures of myself to track gains and changes while lifting, along with whatever else i see that i want to take a picture of. I dont take many pics, only when i go to car shows or events, so the camcorder doesnt need to store tons of pictures, i still want good quality photos though. I will be using it mostly for videotaping me and my friends off roading and riding dirtbikes/atvs at the sand dunes. since it will se a lot of time in the sand dunes it needs to be sealed well so sand and dirt doesnt get in and ruin it. i would like something that has good video and picture quality and have enough recording time to last a weekend at the dunes. Any reccomendations or advice? im lost when it comes to this stuff.
