Default Car got robbed!

i went to work out yesterday afternoon. When i get into the car, all the compartments were open, and empty. The thieves stole maybe $10 bucks worth of coins (most of it pennies and nickles lol), and all my cds. maybe 40-50 of them. they stole the garage opener to the apt building too (the landlord's gotta change the garge door now). good thing they didn't steal anything from the golve compartment. don't think it was even touched. its got all my car registration and insurance stuff in it.

there was no break in point, so i either forgot to turn on the alarm, or they somehow got in. not a big loss, at least there was no vandalism. phew...

Sorry Jim! Take it from a retired cop, don't keep anything in a vehicle you are not afraid to loose. Simple but so many people don't heed this advice.

no offence jim but get street wise!

never leave ANY money in view, if its $10 in small change its still $10 when your in need of a hit.

leaving all the registration details in the car is down right stupid! They can sign over the car to themselves if they decided to steal it and sell it with a fake ID. Its one thing in the UK they say never to keep in the car.

If there are CD's in view then there is a CD player, most people take off the security front panel and throw it in the glove box so its a good place for thieves to check.

I picked a pair of CD player removers from ebay for $1 so i could put in a different stereo, the whole unit came out in under 5 secs!

Your a good guy Jim, dont want to see you get shafted but i hope you learn from this

people eh!! My father got his truck vandalized 3 or 4 times within a year. Someone took a key or something sharp and scratched all along the drivers side and passenger side this happened twice... he got his rims of his tires stolen, he got his license plates stolen of his truck. of course he reported the vandalism.. but then his insurance went up as well.

glad to hear that your vehicle was not damaged .. as it can be quite costly!!

LOL ...I would have thought they would have taken it to pawn for crack money or something (it was worth around $100.00 at the time)...Especially after smashing out the windows and searching the car...

Oh well, I guess you can't count on crackheads to have any sense...

Car theifs dont need any of the stuff they take, they sell it for cash and buy drugs or alcohol. Fortunately, the common theif may not recognize a graphing calculator and assume it is of no value.

Sorry to hear that Jim.
I got ripped off a few years ago - cd's, stereo, amps, subs & cash gone.
My ears appreciated the break but I was totally p!ssed!
To make matters worse, one of my mates offered me a hot stereo the following week - I could have throttled him (I checked, it wasn't my stereo).
Burn all your cd's and keep the copies in ya car next time.
