You got that right! Be very careful if you ever get stopped any where else. It may show up in a license check that "UTAH has a warrant for Failure to Appear/ Pay fine". The guys that wear the black robes (judges) don't like it when people fail to show up when they are suppose to. BTW, in NC where I worked that would be a no bond warrant too!

I live in Cali

Depending on the city, that's going to be a hefty fine Sean.
If you lived in California, more than likely it would result in a suspended license, so it's good you dont!!

I'd say it will end up costing between $450 to $800 depending on the area.

Looked up the VC code for Cali and since it is first time offense the fine cannot exceed $500 so not that bad compared to what I thought it would be. In Oregon I would have gone straight to jail and had my car impounded. From what I hear on the Tiburon site I frequent, in Cali it should be that same way but I guess this cop just didn't do that cause I was from out of state.
Got this 6 miles over the border from OR coming down a long hill. I was actually doing like 140mph or so then saw him and hit the brakes, 121mph is what he locked in on.

It was stupid but I did it as safely as possible: out in the middle of nowhere, no traffic on the hwy, no on-ramps onto the highway for traffic to come out of, and visiblity of about 4 miles down a hill. He was hiding under an overpass in the center lane behind the overpass pillar.

Hey Sean:

Check this out. I was with some of my friends last night when I mentioned about you're ticket, and get this my real good friend had an identical ticket, and he was able to get out of it without paying anything. What he did, he went to court to fight the ticket, cause he disputed the accuracy of the radar gun, my friend had asked for the last time that gun had been calibrated, and when was the last time the cop had been certified in using that specific gun, and guess what the police department could not provide imformation and details on both. The last time that gun was calibrated was like 4 years back, and the same with the cop. So he got off without paying anything.

Just some insight
