Default Respect Points

To All-

I want to thank everyone for the respect points and positive comments I have received in the last few days. I would have just came out and thanked that member personally, but there is no way (that I know of) of how to find out who is giving you the points. The repect points themselves and the meter is not what is really important to me, what is important, is the fact that there are other members here that back me, and each other up when needed, and if not, most stand up for what they believe is right and disagree respectfully. Not everyone is going to get along all the time and I am mature enough to accept that, and I honestly believe a majority of us all feel that way. Soooooo, I just want to say thanks and its beacuse of membes, new and old, that are respectfully and polite, that I say "Thank You".

When someone adds to your respect meter do you get a notice or something? How does that work? I know I've given some people some points but I don't think I've received any yet

Does everyone REALLY use this?

I don't know if a lot of people know about the points system (even though it's been posted).
Probably not a bad thing - you'd get all sorts signing up various user accounts just to cred themselves.
I'm not one to get hung up on the cred but it's nice to know when someone's appreciated some advice or even just something that put a smile on their face.

Maybe we should introduce a system where we say RESPECT at the end of a post, in a kind of 'bump' mentality so people can see where it came from??

Just an idea

Respect. (not really, but you get the idea!)
