You would think after the prominent role that Stuckey Bowl played in the show "Ed" that they would have had more than enough business to stay open...I hate when landmarks are demolished!

Its the StuckeyBowl.... The famous bowling alley in the TV show Ed that was cancelled by NBC. Should still be playing but its not. I went out there to visit the set, got to watch them shoot a scene, got an inside tour and even ate food with the crew there! It was and still is my favorite all-time TV show. It sounds kind of strange but it changed my life. It was so real and reminded me of myself in many episodes. I could go on and on but I wont for fear people might think Im a little whacky... If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

"Ed?"
sounds familiar, but I don't remember this TV show. How long did it air for? And other than the TV show, what's the big deal? I'm assuming it's in your part of town, and you used to go there as a kid, yes? If that's the case, then I understand. But if you're bummed out simply because that place was in a TV show you liked then yeah, I'm a little worried about you. I mean I'm born and raised in San Francisco CA. Frisco Kid all the way baby, and I enjoyed "The Streets of San Francisco" when it was on TV too but I didn't loose too much sleep when they tore down the old Doggy Diner over on 18th St and Mission. Or The Town Pump Bar for that matter. I don't know, I guess you got your reasons. Like I asked earlier, was a childhood hang out for you? |
