NHL Playoffs starting

Ok so i know hockey is way bigger in canada, and some regular season hockey can get boring sometimes.

But holy hell. The greatest of all greatest things is about to start. Playoff hockey. If you haven't given it a shot, i promise you won't be disappointed. So anyways, i was wondering who you guys think will win it? I've got Ottawa taking it over Dallas. Here's my bracket

detroit should win. Most likely over ottowa.
There are teams in the east that can beat ottowa, but I dont think its gonna happen 4 times outta 7.
In the west the only team I see giving detroit a run is dallas or maybe calgary.

btw your eastern bracket looks dead on imo.

I'm hoping Detroit will win. They will win the cup unless they run into a really hot goalie (I can see them having problems with Calgary). They need to start scoring too. There is no way they should only get 3 goals when they are getting like 60 shots on goal.

Ottawa only has 1 line. If they do play Detriot in the finals Draper, Maltby and Lidstrom will shut them down.

I was thinking that San Jose would win the East, but not after how they played last night.

lol i live right by edmonton so im cheering for them but i got 20 bucks on detroit(lol).although joe sakic of colorado has always been my hero though and id love to see him win another cup; you cant deny that colorado is a contender because they haev been for over a decade.

colorado is a little weak this year. Still a contender, but only with some luck.
Kiprusof is calgary's only hope, unfortunatly he's good enough to carry them through a lot.
Detroit has the most skill, intensity and experience in the league. Legace might be the achilles heal, but I dont think it will come to that.
Dallas is picking up their game as we speak. They could make it to the semi's, but if Detroit plays them they will run right through the stars.

Two things Ive noticed about the red wings sloppy play lately, is that they dump the puck alot, which is alright, but they never get it before it leaves the ed. zone. More importantly, edmonton is blocking shots like no other. Lidstrom and Schneider have two of the hardest shots in the league, if they hit a few guys, they'll stop blocking. And yea, that sounds ****ty to do, but its all at the price of winning.

ya colorado is weak this year but they are 3-1-0-0 against the stars this year and with veterans like joe sakic(one of the greatest of all time), rob blake.. and with rookie/sophmore talents in alex tanguay, milan hejduk, and marek svatos they arent going to be easy to beat. especially if jose theodore shines again like his vezina trophy winning year 4 years ago.
*edit* they are also up 2-0 in the best of 7 as of last night going into colorado. dallas may come back but in my mind they just dont have the depth that colorado does.furthermore a team with an american captain hasnt won the cup since 1938, mike modano is american not to knock american hockey players but canadian stars are better..lol
