Default Road Rage

Anyone else have problems with road rage? I am usually a pretty laid back guy, but sometimes when I'm driving (especially my bike) I can't help but yell at someone or use hand gestures if they do something stupid.

I had a guy cut me off this morning, so I gave him the horn. Well he slammed on his brakes and gives me the finger. So I pull up beside him, and exchange some pleasantries. At the red light, he gets out of his car and starts coming towards my car. So I get out and thats when he realizes that I have about 60 lbs on him and he tells me that he wanted to applogize because its early in the morning and he hadn't had a coffee yet.

I haven't quite gotten out of my car yet... but there has recently been a few incidents where I instantly loose it.

One at a 5 way stop in a mall's parking lot... It was my turn to go, so I went... when this other car also decided to go. The young woman in that car, gave me a look mouthed **** you at me, and gave me the finger.. I saw red instantly, just about punched my right hand through the drivers side windoe in an effort to give her the biggest **** you ***** finger I could muster.. (I'm lucky I didn't break my hand or the window.) Ugh.. I'm not sure what was up with me that day.

I actually felt bad for him, well not too bad, just embarrassed. I was driving my Focus today, so I guess he figured small car, small guy. He didn't expect 6'1, 235 lbs stepping out.

When I was 16 and 200lb @ 5'4 (mostly fat but I'd been doing weights for about a year too so I looked bigger) there was a bloke (must've been about 150lb at 6'0) got out of a car and started swearing at my mum...next thing I know he's hit me through my open window but it just kinda bounced off...sat there wondering if he just actually hit me or not for a couple of seconds...
So I got out of the car and he must've **** himself 'cos he ran back to his car...
So my advice is to have a look at who's in the other car before you do anything...

Alex

I don't drive, but i still have to deal with some motorist at the crosswalk that I cross at everyday. Even though the light is red some cars still happen to go right through and not even slow down.

Some look at you like your at fault,,, I tell & show them are you color blind. Pay attention before you end up killing someone.

This one time well actually more than once when I was crossing w/ the kids and I almost got hit a few times.. some vehicles stopped so fast that there engines shut off. I just give them the dirtiest looks and point to the light and kinda show the loser sign....

I also witnessed this hit and run there as well.

Its not like me, getting angry but it more than once that we almost get hit and you think you would be safe crossing there!!

That is funny!!! I experience road rage alot. My commute is about 3 hours daily and have to deal with a ton of idiots that don't know how to drive. When someone pisses me off and gives me road rage or attitude, I blow them a KISS and wave good-bye and take off. The other day I experienced road rage @ the gas station.. This dooshbag was pulled up all the way in the last pump when he could have used the middle pump, so I proceeded to move to the middle pump and he starts backing up and honks at me and yells some crap. Since I had just finished working out, I was pumped and when we both got out the car, he was like 3 inches shorter than me and skinny. I could have dropped kicked him right there, but I am a LADY and had my princess in the car sleeping. He's lucky boy, I would have knocked him the forehead with my elbow.

I love to do road rage, but hate when I receive it.... JK

When in doubt just blow them a quick Kiss and a lick!!!

I forgot to mention as well, I saw a case of road rage the other day with some guy and the bus driver. Bus driver had her lights on and this guy comes speeding through and started slamming his breaks and almost lost control and walks over to the bus and starts yelling/swearing at the bus driver. He was trying to make it look like it was her fault, as he knows the fine is pretty hefty here for doing what he has done..... you kinda wonder sometimes where they got there license..

My GF has some pretty serious road rage...She is the sweetest thing and wouldn't hurt a fly...Until she gets behind the wheel of a car. She can be in a great mood and I can be having a nice conversation with her and then someone will pull out in front of us and...BAM! She lets out a stream of: @!#$@%#$^%&^*+@%$%#%$!!!! I am just glad that the negative energy isn't focused toward me...

That's basically how I am. I flick people off, honk the horn, cuss out the window at them, the whole 9 yards basicallys. I hate all these f*ckers that can't drive. The funny part though, is when I have to censor myself around my mom. I don't cuss in front of her, or anyone else in my family for that matter, so it's pretty funny to hear some of the things I end up saying.

I've had it on my motorcycle before.

See the way I figure it there ARE some drivers out to get motorcyclists. Take this for example:

I am on the interstate running alongside a white BMW. I like to run alongside because a lot of other relative positions to cars leave me in their blind spots. Anyways, from the corner of my eye I see the turn signals on the BMW go on to the left, which is the direction of my lane. I look over *make eye contact with the woman driving* and she makes her way over. I'm already in the fast lane, I have nowhere to go with a car in front and behind me, so use my steel toed riding boots and give her a little wakeup call via a boot to her side door. She jerks back into her lane, I flick her off, and promptly brake behind her and get off at the next exit so she can't get my plate. I left a good sized dent in her door.

I've also done that to another car, same reason, except I tried to brake behind them to get out of the way and got jammed up against a curb. Gave a little kick and took out his tail light.

Now I am much more calm though, mainly becuase I expect that from every car. You are never surprised when you lower your expectations for people's driving skills.

Haha, so true...

I work part-time in customer service, I like to think I'm a really nice guy, I regularly do favours for friends and even strangers, but get me behind the wheel of a car... Phew, it aint pretty!

I wonder what it is about driving that changes people...??
