Default Gym clothes...what do you wear?

At my gym 90 to 95% of people have "work out" outfits, stuff they purchased especially for working out at the gym. I admit, a lot of the shirts and shorts are cool looking. The Nike socks with the "swoosh" aligned to the outside of the ankle is a bit much, but whatever.

I, on the other, hand have an assortment of shorts with built in underwear that I have collected over the years and a pile of various free company t-shirts with some exceptions. I always have a clean yet wrinkly set at the gym, but that's the extent I go to.

Am I looked down on as "lesser" because my outfit is not fabulous looking?

Do you guys have special gym wear and those cool looking anti-sweat shirts?

I guess I'm mainly talking about guys because I'm glad a lot of women have those low cut cleavage enhancing sports bras and ultra tight short shorts.

I know you said mainly talking to the guys, but then you said that girls wear shorts....I never work out in shorts.
I usually don't even wear shorts in the summer time, but that's a different story.
I do, on the other hand, always need to make sure that my outfit for working out is cute...even though I'm working out in my own house.
It's crazy.
It's usually some pair of low waisted form fitting sweats and a tank top. I like the racerback tank tops with the built in support...but always matching, and always need to make sure it looks cute.
I do the same thing with my pajamas...I never go to bed in some unmatched sweats and t-shirt. I think it's some psychological block that I have.

I've seen people training in jeans, slacks, UPS uniform...etc. so it really does not matter. Just don't wear shorts with socks up to your knees, or really short and tight shorts

I currently wear sleeveless tshirts from Academy but in the winter (there has been no winter in texas yet) I wear regular tshirts. I do buy regular workout shorts but I look like a geek in them.

LOL...I wanna be a pretty pretty princess.
Ha...I'm just kidding. I don't work out in front of anyone anyway, so I just like to be cute for myself.

I usually wear just a t-shirt and your average gym shorts. Nothing special. Anyone know if you are allowed to weightlift without a shirt on at the gym? I've been wondering about that, because I have yet to see anyone at the gym not using a shirt...and it puzzles me, I think you are allowed to right? It's just not classy I guess.

I wear bball shorts and sleeveless T's and with the T's i get that are too big for me or ones that i get for free i cut the sleeves off those. I hate when noobs are in the gym and not wearing proper workout attire looking like they just got out of class. namely those who are wearing jeans or other non workout pants. its like if you're not gonna take your workout seriously then you shouldnt be there.

I'm no perfectionist by any means, but certain things I have to have certain ways...clothing being one of them.
Workout clothes, pajamas, regular clothes, underwear....it all has to match and fit the right way, or I can't wear them.
