TRUE...But when the money is gone you have nothing to spend, no debt; whereas if you spend credit and not able to pay it, you are in debt.

like porkchop said, if you are irresposible with cc's you will be just as irresposible with cash...simple as that....

"no credit is bad credit"

[side note]

*sonicbum has just got ANOTHER credit card (discover with $5000 limit) to transfer his $3000 balance from one of his citi cards before the "zero apr balance transfer" ends in march 2006......LoL.....*

Cash= you can see what you are spending: A lot harder to let go of something you have poured sweat on.

As for me. I prefer cash. Always have paid cash for everything so when I die, my parents doesn't have to worry about creditors. No DEBT.

Credit= You can't see what the actual spending: It's a lot easier to spend since you have not earned it yet and didn't sweat for it.

I see a lot of people complaining about credit card debts. They think they can pay for their splurge since they have a job. Well, a job is not a career and there is a big difference, mind you. So before you start thinking about credit...keep things in perspective. An actual dollar is not the same as credit dollar.

you actually need credit in life. bad credit is better than no credit. im not saying go out and ruin your credit but if you are responsible enough and have a low limit on your card then you should be alright don' t get a card with a limit over like 1000 that way if u do mess up your only 1000 bucks in debt

Try to get a rewards card. I have one from Shell that gives me a 5% discount on gas purchases and 1% on everything else. The card is through Citibank.

WATCH OUT who you get a card with. And remember they WILL CHANGE their "rules" in the "middle of the road" ALL THE TIME. EXPECT IT because it is GOING TO HAPPEN. THEY control ALL THE "CARDS"....

BEST ADVICE: GET THEM PAID OFF REAL FAST. Try NEVER to carry a balance past 30 days and if you must, PAY IT OFF AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. BEFORE you buy anything ask yourself: "How long will I have to work before this will be paid off?" and "Is this something I really need?"

WAIT a few days before you buy anything and THINK HARD before you do anything.

I had to get a credit card so I can pay for my books. CapitalOne gave me only $300 limit.
