Yeah I'm pretty simple as far as taste goes too. My surfboards were cheap, I don't go on surf trips anywhere (can get uber expensive depending on where you go), I don't drink, don't go clubbing, etc. Go karts and mini golf and trips to the beach are my thang when it comes to dates. So I'm with you...another cheap date. lol

Gosh, what a broad question. I need to go with the tell-all answer though - personality. Yes, looks and body are good. But they only take you so far. If a girl is looking for a one night stand that's what she's looking for. Long term, personality is what it takes. Of course, there has to be physical there too, but it becomes less important.

Let's put it this way, the guy I am seeing now is so far away from my physical "type" it's not funny. He's only about 4 inches taller than me, if that. He's not totally chiseled or has this awesome body that girls just wanna touch. He's got red hair and freckles and he spikes his hair in this crazy, crazy way with tons of gluey gel. You know what though? His personality is awesome. We laugh so much and joke so much it's ridiculous. He's caring, smart, attentive and has to be one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I've never heard a bad word spoken about him. Matter of fact when people find out I'm dating him, the usual response is, "you're dating ----? He is such a great/nice/funny/sweet guy!" I've come to LOVE his red hair and there IS a lot physically about his body that I love. He's got a big booty and I tend to check it out all the time, I'm constantly touching his chest and noticing his calves. I love to play with his crazy hair and his brown eyes just make me melt. All of this has come from personality and the way he treats me. I remember the first time I met him quite a while back thinking he was attractive, but not HOT. He's so hot to me now it's ridiculous. There are times I can't be around him without just staring. To me he's so attractive that when we go out in public I just want to hold his hand so that other girls know he's MINE and I'm not even a jealous girl.

Great looks may get you laid, but personality keeps the girls around. And a good personality makes you that much more physically attractive.

And I should mention that the guy is a good guy where the girls are concerned. He's totally against cheating/players, etc. He had one serious girlfriend for 2 years and 1 for 4 years and dated a girl here and there. I have to tell you, I've seen them all and each girl is VERY hot.

I'll date a guy with zero money, but he has to have some potential to be a successful person, that is not necessarily gold-digging, but I would never be attracted in the long term with some guy who was happy working at mcdonalds making 5.75 per hr and hoping someday he will be the assistant manager. Shallow maybe, but that's life. You have to have the same goals. As TLC said, I don't want no scrub.

No wonder I don't have much luck with the ladies. I'm above average looking, body better than most guys, but my hair is thinning, I'm not very tall (5'8"), don't have any money (going back to school again while working in a factory). But whats probly really hurting me is lack of confidence and ability to go up and start a conversation. Even though I know I should sometimes, I always say to myself, she probly is looking for somebody younger, taller, richer, better looking, better talker, ect.
