Have you heard any of Heitor Villa-Lobos' work? He's a Brazilian composer who wrote music for everything from solo guitar to full orchestra. He's one of the greats. But I think he's considered to be 'contemporary-classical' since he was recent (1920s 1930s). But look for his classical guitar stuff, it's really good.
Also if you're into the virtuoso movement, then try Nicolo Paganini. The violinist who supposedly sold his sole to the devil to play as well as he did. 17th century, I believe. Check'em out!

That piano babe from the UK, Melyne Class her name is. She put the kick into classic music. My sister used to play the piano and i used to sit and listen for hours when i was cute a small. I loved it and still do like it.

Hey the Appalachian Spring song is about where I live.
I like alot of soundtracks with classical in them. my two favorites right now are Gladiator Soundtrack and The Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack....I also like the Bourne Identy soundtracks......but ya, very relaxing, but at the same time, can be really intense. |
