Bodybuilding mIRC Channel

mIRC Sever Details: Server: irc.AustNet.org Channel: #Bodybuilding _________________________________ To those who are unsure what mIRC is I'll briefly explain to you what it is: mIRC is a program for Windows. IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. The IRC network is a virtual meeting place where people from all over the world can meet and talk (well, type). On IRC you meet others on "channels" (Rooms, usually with a certain topic of conversation e.g., Bodybuilding) There is no restriction to the number of people that can participate in a given discussion. We are trying to get this off the ground and on its feet. But we need support to get the channel up and running. Let's try make this the biggest and best mIRC Bodybuilding channel ever  ._________________________________ mIRC Guide *Simple* IRC is a great place to be. This guide I've written up is for someone who has never used IRC before or someone who has no idea how to get on. These basic instructions that I will go through will be for setting a nickname, connecting to a network and of course joining a channel. Current Server & Channel Server: irc.AustNet.org Channel: #Bodybuilding What’s needed? mIRC which is available for free here. Once you download it, install it. Configuring mIRC Now run mIRC by clicking it's shortcut. Once it loads go to File > Options Screen Shot You will need to make a nickname and an alternate nickname (nick) and insert it the fields provided. You will also need to put something in the full name and email address fields; you can use whatever you want for example you can have your E-Mail as fake@fake.org Setting up which server to use Screen Shot Click the add button and you should see the following pop-up Screen Shot Just type in what you see in that picture and press 'Add' and the server will be in your list. Once you've added the details for the WonderNet server click the button to connect to the server as show in the next picture. Screen Shot Ok I've connected, What do I do now? Great, if everything went well you should see this in your status window in mIRC: Screen Shot All you need to do now is to get onto the bodybuilding channel by typing this in your status Window: Screen Shot And hit ENTER! Oh, no... the management or anything was never a question, i could have thrown up a channel easilly... or anyone at that... it just seems that it was lacking interest.

Thought I'd let everyone know who may be interested that our IRC Bodybuilding network has merged with Austnet's Bodybuilding IRC network recently to create an even larger IRC community then before.
