I'm at a plateau again and I've been doing supesets now.
Although its not my favourite, I find my body responds well to them. I know I sound like a sissy. I really prefer doing heavier weights but I gotta do what I gotta do. What do you guys think? I know my questions are silly. ![]() anyone? ;-) Last edited by fitme; 04-25-2007 at 01:17 PM. |

I dont think I know my body 100% yet! ![]() PS. I think I'm just gonna run like Forest Gump. Run Forest Run..........;-) Last edited by fitme; 04-25-2007 at 03:13 PM. |

No, I can't imagine taking anymore time off this year. I took almost 3 weeks off this year already.
I would be a fata$$ again if i did. My body gets fat real quick.lol Hawk, I'm still inbetween routines. I don't know what to do! Some days I superset and some days I just do something from my regular routine. Am I making any sense? blah blah blah........thanks for listening though people.. I'm sure I'll be quitting the supersets shortly.;-) Last edited by fitme; 04-26-2007 at 10:23 AM. |

If you are swaping out routines and still making progress fitme then don't change anything major at this point. Be willing to experiment a bit with your supersets and see how you respond to the change(s).

If you find your body responds well to them, then keep doing whatever you're doing little lady! That question was far from silly. I'm sure you can find a silly post on here. Sometimes heavy weights just don't cut it, you have to cut down on rest time, the speed at which you lift the weight or maybe even switch up the exercises for a week or so! |

It is always good to change up your routine I think.. keeps the body from gettting use to it... a change is definitely needed if you stop gaining or you loose interest... Usually the 2nd part for me.. then I try to find a new exercise replace a current one in the listto bust up an area of the body I need work on...

you should take a heavy weight break every 1-3 (Depending on your fatigue level) month or so... This break can be as much as 2 week depending on how fatigued you are. So if you count it can be as much as 3 month off every year... OR if you really fear time off then just go doing light work for 1-2 week... high rep, shy of failure, low number of sets. Anyway, just trying to help. |

I'm sure the guys can relate more to what I'm talking about but the mindset comes from within. The best way I can describe it is mentally hyping yourself up. Say, for example, when you're squatting....100% of your focus should be directed towards your form and making sure you're getting the full range of motion so you can recruit all those butt, back and leg muscles. You should also focus on the drive up as well and just picture yourself driving your feet through the floor....you getting the idea better now? |
