I'm a single mom as well and over the last three years have run two half marathons and have now started training for a figure competition!! (I could barely run the length of a city block three years ago and yes it takes discipline)
You can achieve anything you set your mind to!!! You are dedicating yourself to the wellness of your body and mind so you can have a long healthfull life for you and your child(ren)!!
Some things that I have learned and want to share. Learn to see food as fuel!! something your body needs to maintain good blood, organs and muscle. 500 years ago we didn't have processed, deep fried, sodium loaded keep it clean for your body and don't penalize your self on the cardio equipment. By this I mean don't get on them to purge all of the calories you've had that day. Do it to work the muscle of your body (including your heart muscle) Burning calories and fat is just a side effect of what we should all be doing for a better LIFE!
