How'd I get dubbed the cardio queen? I'm not good at the meal timing thing, I don't think...I just do what works for my body. How long and what kind of cardio will you be doing? I do mine first thing in the am usually, empty stomach, with just some BCAAs. Then I don't have my first REAL meal til at least an hour later. I do have a Protein Shake and usually a banana afterwards though. If I can't do my cardio first thing, then, I'd usually wait at least about 1.5 - 2 hours after, cause the cardio I do is pretty intense, if I don't, I'll feel like vomiting up anything that I just ate. So, I try to keep my stomach kinda empty when I do it. Some people may frown upon that but y'all can go scratch. I wish we had a gym here...I'm trying to get them to install some type of gym equipment in our other office. |

Cardio Queen??? or dancing queen.. take your pic.
I will be hitting the treadmill and cycling! We also have some ellipticals.. I want to alternate.. Possibly on a weekly basis!!! I like to do it on an empty stomach too, but can't make it to the gym that early. I figured during the day is the best to do some HITT or HIIT however you spell it.... to avoid doing after weight training in the evenings! Have I mentioned before I HATE CARDIO! But its got to be done! I have to now lug all my beauty supplies too... to take a power shower and stuff! GRRRRRRRRRRR Aight! I will let ya know how I make out!

Then yeah, I'd say get it in as early as you can without your belly being full.
Cardio any time of the day is beneficial, but if you're doing HIIT, it will keep your metabolism revved up for the rest of your day, and you'll be burning more fat throughout. That's what I was worried about if they installed a gym at my job....I'd have to shower here...but, then again, it shouldn't be much of a problem...I can be out and ready again in about 10 minutes. And, oh....I like the dancing queen one. HaHaHa....just kidding. |
