Had a biopsy done yesturday. I have 2 weeks before i get any results. I don't know how to get thru that time. Last night I was having bad dreams.i sorta cant stop thinking the worst. This morning the ole man came to me and told me he was worried too.

I know some of you have been thru some pretty heavy stuff. Any advice for passing the time?

None that is worth while. I will say that I piss my wife off because I don't appear to worry about her ailments. Of course I do, but it will not do me any good to loose my head over it. Place your worries in the hands of the doctors. Trust and pray that they have the skill an knowlege to see you through this. I will say a prayer for you and yours and your doctors!

Hang in there everything will be fine. I know exactly how you feel. Life brings a world of challenge to everybody, we just have to have faith. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

Having had a breast cancer scare last year, I know how hard it is to wait for results.
I had to wait nearly 12 weeks for my appointment and it was very difficult to do.
My prayers and goodwishes are with you at this time. and the only advice i can give is to think positive.

sunday

I agree with this totally.

Also there is nothing you can do at this stage. Just let time run its course and throw yourself into your training a bit more if that helps take some stress of you. I have had such scares many a time in the past but they were all unfounded. Like Monty Python said: "ALways look on the bright side of life..."

my mum had a scare about 10 years ago but she didn't tell me what it was, I only realised what must've been going on when I thought about it many years down the line...
I guess a lot of people have scares but there's nothing you can do until you get the results back...
I really hope it turns out well for you, Alex

Thanks you guys I appreciate the support and kind words.

They did the biopsy on my cervix after finding "something". And I know that the doctor doing colposcopy knew exactly what she was looking at. I KNOW SHE DID! But, she refused to say what until the lab results comes back.

The cancer thing runs in my family as my mother suffers from breast cancer and couple years back my 36 years old brother went thru lung cancer. (never smoked a cig in his life btw)

Anywhooo, I do appreciate the reminders. God's in control. It's such a scary position to be in. Yesturday I said a lil prayer, felt better for a while then those negetive thoughts creep back in.
Thnaks soooo much for your thoughts and prayers...they must be working cause today I am feeling much more positive.

Thanks y'al!!!

i was just bouncin around and ran across this thread. I forgot alll about it.
Just to let you know there found no cancer! WOOHOO!
One thing I got out of it was a new outlook. I got really scared ya know.
After they did that proceedure I was down for about a week so It also made me work harder in the gym when I was ready to go. My birthday is in a couple weeks and as a birthday present to myself I checking stats.
I haven't stepped on the scale or measured b.f.i in a few months. So I'm sure the last 6 weeks or so will really reflect in the numbers.

everything happens for a reason.

I don't know you as the others do. But I'm very glad things worked out. I understand the waiting game, although two weeks seemed like a long time for results to come back. And the worry is hard.

That's the hardest part of my job. When one of our patients have something going on that could end up being very serious I know how worried they are. I always tell them they can call me to talk any time. My patients know we are there for them and sosmetimes people just need a hug.

Congrats!!!!
