I superset with pushups on a medicine ball to also work my core muscles out. I do 3 sets of about 20 on a bad day.

One you get used to doing them, try different hand positions and triceps angles. I like making my hands into a diamond shape, they really work the lats that way.

No it's a little harder with your feet on an incline. Usually people put their feet on a chair or an exercise ball.

Yeah! Glad that someone likes pushups besides me! lol yeah I never really got into pushups until a year or two ago but ever since then I love them. Its a really cool feeling when you do a lot lot more then you ever expected out of yourself huh?Keep up the good work and have fun! Ever try handstand pushups? Now that is a workout!

If your doing them for toning it's OK doing it 3 times a week. They can be great for warming up. But, if you are working hard doing them 3 times a week, your chest strength will likely diminish. Including pushups in your once a week chest routine is fine. Be patient with your training so you don't overtrain.

You can really isolate a tricep on one arm if you put that arm so your elbow points outwards and the other below it pointing in. (Makes a T)

didnt want to start a new thread...but anyway, my wrists are killing me so I'm thinking its all the pushups i've been doing...lol

Is it bad to have my palms facing outwards? Maybe thats cheating? I dunno..what's the best way to put my palms? I LOVE doing them but my wrists are really hurting now..whats the best way where i get the least amount of pain??

I have bad wrists and back in the day when I did them, I did them on my fists. There is no stress on the wrists at all if you do them this way.

So just make fists and press up off your knuckles....

I'm small boned? lol my fingers and knuckes are kinda small...

It's your fist that the weight is on. Make a fist like you are punching the floor and instead use this form for push-ups.....Try it out
