Hey Holly, I feel ya girl!!
I have learned alot around here these ppl are great and very supportive as you can tell already.

Something that really boosted my results was increasing the weights. They (whoever they is) try to convince women that low weight and high reps is the way to loose. But I found as soon as I started being more serious about my weight training my body responded quicker to the fat lose. Granted in the begining the scale actually read a higher weight my body fat decreased.
Your abs are there already, as whats been said already...decrease the body fat and poof theres the abs. Well of course poof isnt exactly how it goes but im sure you catch my drift.

Spend some time reading the different threads and you'll find alot of answers.

i've often been called ab obsessed but, I do not need to work on my abs, but I do daily, because I want a nice stomach & never do I ever want to wear something that would my stomach arae look like I have an inner tube surrounding it.

with that said, first off, you are young, so you have all the time in the world, next, it does include good diet & last, a constant focus. Good genes, sure, but my mom has never had abs like mine, so maybe that's all a farce?

I do several ab exercises - crunches with a weight, sit ups, squats & last I flip my legs & feet over my head & raise my legs up & down (you will have to learn to breath this way, it is a yoga / pilate move, but great for your lower abs) - and thats that.

i've always worked my abs, you have plenty of time to get abs or steel, atleast you are not like me & almost 31 - now I have to maintain!

To go along with all the wonderful advice you have been given here Holly11 I would just like to say that my abs look similar to yours. You can see that they are there, some where under that layer you just can't seem to shave off. Even when I was 20 and exercising, running, and doing Martial Arts, the best I could do was a stomach that looks similar to your photo. Now, @ 44 I have learned how to add weights to build up a 6 pack. I understand that diet will feed growing muscle and strip off all of those layers to reveal our hard work. But it takes dedication, patience, perserverance, and nothing but good old fashioned hard work. If it were easy, everyone would have a 6 or 8 pack.
