I just got done with my 2nd year of highschool track-Im a sprinter and I really need to put on some muscle to gain some power and some speed.Although I love lifting and I would really love getting into bodybuilding! Im about 119lbs right now and I need to gain at least 10 to 15 over the summer-Whats the first step? If theres anything I need to know before I get started on some hardcore lifting please let me know

Seek out a trainer that deals specifically with track. READ all you can about the training. Read books published by great sprinters and see how they trained. Use the internet too. Talk to Sports Med Professionals and your physician to ensure you are doing the best training and the least amount of damage. I know this all sounds so vague but your question had broad possibilities. As shredder said, ask around but I would avoid most of the "football" types. Talk to running backs, wide recievers, and safeties.
