Question building up your back muscles?

Hi people,
I have been working out at the gym for about 2 months now,i go swimming and do yoga and body balance.
recently i had a thai massage and i was chatting to the masseur about general fitness,he said i was building my chest muscles up well but my shoulders were starting to roll because my back muscles werent building up at the same time .
so i would be pleased if there was someone out there who could give me some helpful tips on the best way to do this.

Can't go wrong with bent over barbell rows.

Preparation

Bend knees slightly and bend over bar with back straight. Grasp bar with a wide overhand grip.

Execution

Pull bar to upper waist. Return until arms are extended and shoulders are stretched forward. Repeat.

bent barbell rows
t-bar rows
low pulley rows
deadlifts

cant wait to do these in the gym again

deadlifts are my favorite for building lower back because i also have a problem with posture. they have helped alot and i have noticed a change. also i do alot of rows for upperback. they will help with your shoulders. also a good tip strech alot before doing either of these. hurt my back awhile back from not stretching before
