No problem! Maybe she should become a member here, too!

Yep...She needs to join! We could definitely use another doctor's opinion around here!

I'll try to convince her to join but not sure if it will work, her work schedule is crazy, along with picking up the little one at day care, by the end of the night she is tried, and right know I am currently working 14hr days. along with hitting the gym at 5:00am so we'll see I think I have her get in the mix. This is by far the best forum. I am glad I came across this site.

Oh my god, I was typing away and lost my stuff.

First of all, you need to find out how much she really weighs, because if you are adding weight to her, she will KILL you!!.

I didn't see that you have any weight training in her workout. Does she do any weights or body toning?

It is really hard to manage a career and a family. No offense to any of you men out there with kids, but I think that us women take the owness of parenting upon ourselves. No matter how much help you guys contribute to the raising of the kids, it mostly 75% falls on the mother.

Not to get off topic, but this is part of why many women find the excuse to say they do not have the time. I have a hectic career and I run a household, but I still manage to hit the gym for 1 hour.

Have your wife set aside some time on the weekend to prepare her meals for the week and freeze them. This way she always has something to eat.
She also seems like she needs some motivation possibly from a female view. Print a picture of a woman in good shape, NOT a Babe Watch Babe, but someone that will motivate her to want to look the same. Also take a picture of her now and post it whereever she can see it to remind of her why she is doing this.

Its a tough world, but getting and staying fit will also make her a better wife and mother!!.

Good Luck!!!

Ya Along with her 1hr cardio she also does weight training, with free weights,
so she does everything from bench press incline decline, also DB workouts, lunges, I try to make her hit every body part as much as possible. She does a full work out like mine except with less weight. So it's kind of a slow process for her but she is making improvments. Ya I hear you about her managing the family, she has her hands full, but we always make time somehow to hit the gym, She just gets frustrated sometimes. I would help her out more but my work day usually consists of 14hr days. 6 days a week!!!!!!! So time is the issue. Will try about the whole picture thing, Don't know if she'll buy that but it might work.

Good Luck!!! You may also want to try to up the weights with every set... I usually start off like this for example:

Should press:
12 reps, 20 pounds
10 reps, 30 pounds
8 reps, 40 pounds
6, reps 50 pounds
drop the weight down to 10-15 and do 2 sets of 12 reps with a 10 second break!!!.

Just adjust to whatever weight she can withstand...

I usually try to get 20 reps in my last set...

It will help her burns calories and she will be aching... This will also increase her strength. I started working out about 1 month ago after not working out for almost years and have lost alot of strength, but it is coming back!!!

Good luck and sounds like you are a good motivation to her!!!

I have an old picture of myself in SB with my vette and it keeps me motivated to get back in shape.. I am still pretty cut, but need to drop about 10 pounds of fat to be a bit leaner!!!
