1) Go find a class or activity that you think is really really fun. Soccer, jogging outside, yoga, dancing, belly dancing,....the list is incredible and if you are really into your activity, you'll feel like you are going to go play.
2) Get a picture of a woman you'd like to look like and carry it in your pda, ipod, or wallet. 3) Get a picture of a someone you think is really hot who you'd like to go out with, or at least who is hot and you'd like them to think that you are HOT. Imagine how fun it would be to take your clothes off and have them say WOW, you are unbelievable! 4) Make a goal for a number of workouts per week and then at the end of the week, if you make it, buy yourself a massage or a manicure or a new pair of shoes or whatever makes you happy (but not cake). 5) Find a place you love to workout and join. 6) Buy yourself a new workout outfit that you feel good wearing. 7) Make an appointment with someone to go workout a certain times (this is how I pulled out.) 8) Buy an outfit you don't yet fit into and set a goal for a date that you will fit into it (be careful, this one can get depressing--don't go too small.) 9) Don't overset your goals. If you can only go so many times per week, so be it! Don't say you'll workout at times when there's no way in he**ll that you will. I used to say I'd take this 7:30 am class...For me, that is madness. I will never never never pull my lazy self out of bed before 7:30, and thus cannot make it to a class that occurs simultaneously. But if I say I'm going to and don't--I feel bad and i don't have a workout planned cause I missed the one I planned. So now I just only set realistic time goals....So I'm a princess about waking up...at least I'm a buff princess... 10) Congratualte yourself for putting a shout out for help! I honestly believe if its something you REALLY REALLY want to succeed at you're going to be good at it and you will stick it out...no matter how long it takes to get where you want.
I know sometimes i NEED lots of motivation too. but i just keep going and going...right now i feel like i'm at a plateau too but i'm not gonna give up...cause i REALLY REALLY want it! I hope this makes sense. |

Yes I show dogs - or did....haven't had much time lately. But I always took joy in it and for me there is something to be said for working with a dog - it's mind clearing (for me anyway). I have a young dog that is full of himself but very nice moving and looking. It's not as easy to show a sport dog as most people think....4 non-stop days of activity - maybe this is what I need to jump start my motivation.....I have pushed myself to do my 2 times a day workouts - maybe it's time for some fun to go with it......who knows we'll see. Not to mention it is just me and my dog.....no family, no watching what I say, no watching how I behave (other then in the show ring), just me and the dog doing our work.....hehehe I really need to get out more. |
