Bump to ryan's good advice...
And uber big bump to cereal.. It really is the devil. When I was 410 pounds I would eat a big arse bowl of cereal every morning, and like clock work, within just 90 minutes, my stomach was absolutely screaming to be fed again. Cereal is empty calories, that will drive you to consume more food... Stick to eggs, and oats, whole wheat breads, cottage cheese, skim milk (which actually tastes great after while). oh, and if you needed to know... Loosing weight really is all about making a plan and sticking to it. I was 410 pounds, 8 months later I was sub 300, and strong as an ox.. All you gota do is stick with it day after day... and keep reading up on nutrition and diet idea's. good luck.

Okay I just actually read the thread... From the last few threads I presumed we were talking about a fat person here..
and we definately aren't. I'm not saying either way on the BDD... but there is definately something up. I'd like to see pics, cause 26% at that hieght and body weight seem totally ridiculous. It's fair enough that we at least be concerned with those numbers. I'd suggest listen to your trainer.. eat that many calories.. Stay away from the cereals though... Your trianer can see you.. he knows what you need.. and with the calories he's telling you to eat.. seems to me he wants you to gain.. so again, that 26% BF seems to be off its mark.

I agree ryan! What trainer worth a S*** would have here doing that much cardio....She is rail-thin! Muscle mass is a great idea, but how is someone that small going to put on anything burning off that many calories??? Get a new trainer.....

Women just have more body fat then men, and her body fat is well within the "norm" for women. Just eat like you are and lift some weights, and don't just take the weight and never increase it. You won't look like a girl with guy arms, rofl. That is if you don't go juicing on us
BTW, thanks for the pics of yourself, and I will leave it at that considering you are 19 and I am 44.... Body fat measurements with tape measure are not 100% accurate, so don't worry about the 26%, its just a reference. Last edited by krenalor; 01-30-2006 at 01:13 PM. |

I was thinking that the 26% might have been a typo. But women are difficult to measure accurately since we carry fat deposits in areas men don't since it's there to prepare the body for pregnancy. Some of that bodyfat is there genetically and there really isn't much that can be done about it. I'll repeat. Weight training, sound diet and a bit of cardio are the three legs of a healthy training program. You need to eat enough to support the muscle you want to build. You are very slim, if you want to build muscle you are going to have to go a bit easier on the cardio and eat more.
