Thank you hun! I really feel good at this weight, both physically and mentally but I'm not yet where I want to be. I would love to get back to where I was in college (only 6 years ago for me), but my lifestyle was different then and consisted of alot less eating and alot more drinking/dancing if you know what I mean ;-)...........that kind of sounded like I was a stripper but I wasn't...I was a go go dancer though lol Anyway, I'm not sure if I want to lose more weight or focus on more strength training at this point. I think I will continue with my workouts as is and see where it takes me in a few months.

I'm not going to lie. I had been hiding from the camera for the last couple of years. I think I have 1 full body picture from X-Mas 07 *shudder*, I hid it somewhere but I will have to find it and get someone to take one of me now. I would like to see what everyone else is seeing myself!

How do you load pics on here anyway? Just attach them?

Hey Jay! I am currently not in a plateau. Honestly, in retrospect I believe that some weeks where I thought I was in a plateau...I really wasn't. It only appeared that way b/c I used to weigh myself twice a day (I KNOW I KNOW!! YOU ALL KNOW I AM THE SCALE NAZI! BUT I AM MENDING MY WAYS!). So when I saw the same weight twice on mon, twice on tues, twice on wed I was like WTF!?!? But when I go back to FitDay and look at my weight loss, it was pretty much steadily decreasing week to week. But I whole heartedly believe it's thanks to all the advice you all have given me and me being able to incorporate that to my life. I'm so grateful.

Default Another Update...

So from the last time I checked in (beginning of August I think) to today I am down an additional 15 pounds, for a total of weightloss since March of 52 pounds. Again, it's thanks to the advice that you all gave me on the protein and upping my calories. Although I admit I don't consistently eat the same amount of calories, it's anywhere between 1200-2000, but I think I average around 1600. My current routine is a kickboxing (with the gloves and heavy bags and all that) T, Th and Sat. And on M, W, F I do longer runs outdoors (I LOVE FALL!) or do some incline training on the treadmill. Unfortunately, I have really slacked with my weight training because we do so much push-ups, squats, and all that *ish in kickboxing. But I know I need to somehow fit that back in. I am the lightest I have been in six years :-) But I would like to get back to the lightest point I ever was which would require another 15 pound loss. So, that is my new goal. I am hoping to reach it by year-end but my weight loss seems to have been soooooooooooooooooo sloooooooow the last three weeks or so. Anyway, that is my update for now, thanks again!

Progress always seems to slow down as you approach a goal. Before you could measure in leaps and bounds and now you've got to measure in steps. Don't worry it will happen, just keep motivated. I constantly have to evaluate how I'm measuring progress on certain things to ensure I'm not bogging myself down when I don't see the huge results. Think micro not macro, eventually the micros will add up to meet and/or exceed the macro.

Man I can't even talk about training without letting my software geek out...macro....

Don't measure progress as simply weight loss. Progress in most cases is visual and should be measured in body composition. Nothing sucks more than a woman to go from 180lbs to 120lbs and look the same, just smaller - as I say, they go from a large pear to a smaller pear. IMO, that isn't progress.

Recomposing the body is what it's about. Of course, during the process, weight loss will occur, but by no means be your major source of judging progress. The ratios of the body should change as well (shoulders : chest : waist : hips for example).

Skinny is NOT in - lean is...

Nonetheless, good luck...
