Default Food suggestions

I was looking at the food list sticky and that a great list, very helpful. What I was wondering was what are some good suggestions for foods to have for mid morning and mid afternoon snacks. Right now I usually eat a piece of fruit or some yogurt. Not sure if thats good enough or if i should be eating more.

I personally am weening myself off of snacks so my metabolism isn't always on, and trying to stick to 4 meals a day, but a few good ideas I'd say would be:

Whole grains.
Whole-grain snacks are rich in fiber and carbohydrates, which give you energy. Look for low-fat whole-grain crackers, whole-grain pretzels, etc.

Fruits and Vegetables.
Eating fruits and vegetables provides a feeling of fullness with no fat and only a small number of calories. They also provide vitamins, minerals, fiber and other nutrients.

Nuts and seeds.
Nuts and seeds provide protein, which helps keep you feeling fuller longer. Nuts and seeds contain mostly monounsaturated fat, a healthy fat. Nuts and seeds are high in calories, don't eat them in large quantities.

Low-fat dairy products.
Cottage Cheese, yogurt and other dairy products are good sources of calcium and protein, plus a variety of other vitamins and minerals. Dairy products can be high in fat, so choose the low-fat ones.

cottage cheese is a !@#$in miracle food. No fat cottage cheese is like pure casein protein. it contains a bit of sodium, but if your water intake is adequate, sodium isnt much a concern.

My snacks are cottage cheese, sliced meats, celery with a bit of PB, fruit, maybe some whole grain toast if its early (Try to cut off carbs around 6).

good luck man!

Cottage cheese is great stuff but it takes so damn long to digest(up to 8 hours) its really best used before bed.

Take stomach enzymes, and that goes for anybody who s really packing in the protein...

papaya and pineapple contains natural enzymes, Protease, Laptase,Amylase..

Those enzymes will help break down all proeteins better...

I reccomend them to all
