Default feeling sluggish and tired during workout...rate my shake

Seems like im lacking energy to carry on a good workout. Havn't had a good pump in a while. every morning i wake up i blend up a preworkout shake. it consist of 2 cups of reduced fat milk, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, about 2 teaspoon of peanut butter, and a scoop of ON whey. anyone having the same problem?

You're not getting enough carbs in there.

Throw in another half cup of oats and a banana.
Have a couple of bits of wholemeal toast as well.

i figured theres something wrong with the shake.

anyone can give me good recipes for a good pre workout shake? thanks

could be lots of things... #1 problem is the preworkout meal is not enough carbs, like cammo has already addressed. If you still lack the energy, maybe consider working out at a different time of day, changing sleep patterns...

Yep - I was about to recommend changing up the schedule and ensuring you're getting enough rest as well.

I switched from morning to lunchtime workouts for a week the last time this happened - big difference.

Besides eating the right food and getting enough sleep, energy can be a mental thing--i'ts possible you're bored with your routine and need to change it up a little.
