Default Nutritional Content / Calorie Counter

When on a diet, its best to drag out that calculator and add up what we are actually necking every day.
Here's some websites to help the calorie count.

http://www.nutrawatch.com/online2/Fo.../FF_Search.asp

http://www.craftmax.com/calories/

http://www.caloriecountercharts.com/chart1a.htm

Hope this helps

my gf likes to cook and have dinner read or near ready for me when i get home from work. i do a good log of my intake as far as caleries, carbs, fat, protein, etc, but i don't know how to count her dinners.

i was thinking of adding all the nutrition from the packs she uses to make the chillie/soup/chicken whatever and then breaking it down into servings. this seems like the best way to me, but how do i break it down into whats in my bowl after having the total calulations? thats where i run into trouble

You would have to train her on how to cook keeping upto the calories etc.

i too have the same trouble, coz i cook for my husband and myself. but i do count everything i put in and then may be divide it in exact half or three quaters whatever.

so i was right? just total everything up and devide? seems simple enough, but here is an example. we made chillie on sunday, and STILL eating it. BIG pot. so how would we devide that? would we have to figure how many cups are in the total batch then devide that way? seems simple enough, but you know how things are when they apear too simple. lol

I would break down the ingredients and the quantities added. Come up with total calories of the whole pot. You should know how much the pot holds, how many cups? Divide it into per cup calories and go by that.

I know that this may sound like a marketing pitch, but I use the software from www.crosstrainer.ca for tracking of my diet. I have a USB memory stick that I carry with me with the saved database so I can access my diet information from work and home. I really love it and it allows me to more closely monitor my protein and carb intakes.
