Default What whey? Creatine?

Ive been taking an all in one supplement for a while now called PHD synergy (contains creatine).

My diet and workout are both fine and i can see myself gaining, but i dont feel i gain anything extra by taking this supplement (except the occasional bit of cramp).

Im considering going back to whey protein (optimum nutrition), and if i feel like it in a few months time taking a seperate creatine supplement.

Could i get some opinions on weather or not i should bother with creatine and also what whey protein to go for as i seems as if optimum nutrition has went up in price quite a lot since i last took it.

Thanks.

Not a fan of creatine here. Never really noticed any results.

ON products - eh, I used them for a long time, and they were "ok" but I found a better protein product in Pro Complete 40 from Optimum Health...however I doubt you can get that shipped to you in Scotland. Got a lot of bloating from ON and I don't get that from OH's product.

Yeah i think your right. Think ill just go back to whey protein and see how things work out.

I had a bit of bloating aswell from ON but nothing compared to some other supplements .. especially maximuscle (which is big here in the UK).

Theres a website ive been advised to go to myprotein.co.uk - The Leading Online Manufacturer & Supplier of Sports and Nutritional Supplements, its all unflavoured and pretty cheap by the looks of it but i dont know wether or not to go with them or not.

Anyone had any experience with this website?

Lol nice one! I like how you went to the effort to look at my previous posts so you could score some brownie points.

The bicep is a muscle just like any other and if you look closer you'll see i was asking if i was doing too much for such a small muscle .. not some noob question like "i want to get big, will i do an obscene amount of curls, preachers, concentrations and neglect the rest of my body, and ill somehow magically get bigger?"

No doubt your more knowledgeable than me when i comes bodybuilding, but i came to this forum for help and advice .. not to be prejudged and waste my time on replies such as your first one. Don't assume u know me or what "stage" I'm at. I'm probably a bit more impressive than you think

Anyway i didn't come here to argue, just making a point.

Cant we be friends

I agree.

Honestly though dude, I'm not a big fan of either, as I view both as the two most overhyped supplements in history. Neither is by any means "essential".

Not to deter, but good for you on for standing your ground.

Me too,the extra protein will supplement an already nutritious diet but i have never met anyone who has benefit form creatine.

Yeah...I have taken just about every creatine iteration there has been and while you might seem "fuller" on it, the minute you stop it goes away. Just seems to hold water on ya and that is it for me.
Protein is best in food. I do take some ON protein after a workout, but I only just started to do that cause I do cardio after my workouts and cant get a meal fast enough.
Dont think you need either one with proper diet.

Very true,i like to get my protein from my food, especially eggs, chicken and steak, man that feeling of not getting a meal fast enough is killer!

Thanks for the replies ... i know theres nothing better than protein rich foods but it just seems the norm to do weights and take supplements. I suppose it makes things a little easier, especially immediately post gym. I by no means rely on my shakes as my main protein source.

Anyway im back on regular whey protein (pharma whey), 1.5 scoops twice a day in a homemade gainer shake, mid morning and post gym. Just hoping to work hard and get upto my goal of 182lbs (currently 172).

Lots and lots of food man...good clean foods and you will get there.
Check out the diet section. I stick to lean meats, fish, and rice.

Just remember: do the norm, look normal. If you want to be different, do something different.

I MUCH prefer a whole meal post-workout, but that's me.

I have a shake immediately post work out, but i eat a full meal within an hour also, i just thought it would be best to get something in me as quick as possible?

The cell tech and muscle tech stack will add on 20 lbs. but you run the risk of AIDS.
