i personally dont think one routine is better than another. you need to find what works for you. if you are doing 5x5 and are seeing results than stick with it for a while. after a few months change it up a bit. just be aware that results dont come overnight. give it a chance and it will happen if you do it right (doing it right includes your diet).

Benching with low reps has never made me any progress. Personally, I find that being able to rep more will lead to strength increase.
My bench workout is as follows... 2 sets x12 reps 1x8 (add 10 total pounds) 1x6 (additional 10 total pounds) 1x4 (another additional 10 total pounds) Supplementing a proper workout plan with a proper diet will give you what you want. |
