Hey guys.
Now, there is countless information on these forums and others on how much calories/ proteins/ carbs/ fats to get in your diet. Personally, I am 20 yrs old, 160 lbs, and very active. There's been a lot of different calculations but I'm thinking 3200 is the daily calorie intake I need to gain weight (and it's been hard for me to gain). Oh yeah, my current goal is basically bulking as time efficiently as possible; not even necessarily 'clean' bulking. I'm just looking to add mass right now even with the fat that comes with ti. So I'm fine with that, but the problem is: I've never really bought my own meals/ gone grocery shopping before for extended periods. Usually my parents handled most of that while I'm home and there's a cafeteria-esque place at my college with fast food trips in between. But I'm going to be living on my own in an apartment soon. So it's like - seeing as I can buy anything, what exactly do I buy to ensure I'm getting the proper amount of calories and the rest each day? and without spending a small fortune? I know there are probably countless diets out there, but many of them are for weight-loss or some sort of new-age zen/ health/ organic plan. Basically, can someone who's bulking right now just post their current shopping list? My cooking skills are pretty terrible right now as well, but I can learn. Any tips would be appreciated. |

get store brand oats, beef and chicken that are on sale, tuna, vegetables like broccoli (frozen are cheaper and keep forever), whole grain bread, cottage cheese, etc

Avoid foods that have high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrgenated oils. A lot of foods that 'appear' to be healthy will have these additives in them.
