Question Bigger upper body

Hey everybody.

I want to get a bigger upper body. First off, I am 21 years old, 5'6, and 130 lbs. I have less than 10% body fat so it's hard for me to get bigger. What would be the best way to gain a bigger upper body? Should I eat more and try to put on more weight or just lift more? Or should I be doing something else?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You've answered your own question and it will take combination of a good diet and a good routine to reaach your goals. So yeah, at 130 lbs you should aim for 2200-2800 calories with the mindset that "the more, the better." And not from junk food. Don't drool over a can of pop having 160 calories as a way of reaching your daily calorie requirement. Dedicate a little into it and you will in fact benefit greatly.

Last thing is if you want a bigger upper body, dont neglect your lower body. Putting on mass in the quads, back, etc is important as well.

Have you a routine in mind?

as said above you will need to do some serious squats to gain weight which in turn will fire up your metabolism.
