I like the low volume high intensity scheme, member your body grows when you rest so more doesnt mean better..

also bulking has more to do with your eating
correct me if im wrong boyd (or any1)...but i dont see why u would change your routine (other then cardio) if your bulking or cutting...bulking basically just comes down to more carbs then when u cut. until i hit like 230 lbs (natural) with a pretty low body fat, im not cutting...and when i do cut i highly doubt ill change my routine to a "cutting routine" ill still focus on heavy ass weight on the compounds etc, ill just eat less carbs, and more cardio so for u, just focus on a solid routine, push the heaviest weights u can lift, and just fVckin eat eat eat eat (good foods)...EAT this is a 4 day split i find to be VERY good for me mon: back width (lat's etc)\bi's tue: wen: Chest\tri's thur: fri: Legs sat: sun: Shoulders\ Back thickness (deads etc) and throw in the abs where ever u want i loved this routine, made big gains on it Last edited by Will100; 06-11-2007 at 05:56 PM. |

To "bulk" you need to do the following:
1. overload your muscles - give a reason for your muscles to respond with growth. 2. consume more calories than you use - divide your calories into 5-6 even meals a day while making sure you are getting plenty of good carbs, proteins and fats. 3. Rest - Your muscles grow when you rest, they breakdown when you lift. Therefore, create a split that allows your muscles to heal properly. For example, hitting your triceps the day after you hit your chest is counterproductive when wanting your muscles to grow effectively. Mon: legs Tue: off Wed: push thur: off Fri: pull create your routine around the big 3 and do big compound movements to involve as many muscle fibers as possible.

It's enough. How long you been lifting? How long u want to spend in the gym?
What are your BSD numbers?
