Default do you think it's effective...

ok~ so im currently doin a 4 day split~ chest-tri, back-bi, leg, shoulder-abs...so would you guys think it's effective if i do heavy weight less rep one week, and then light weight more reps the next week and alternate weekly...OR would it be more effective to go heavy/less rep for a few weeks...then light/more reps after that...and do it like that?

Switching it up definitely has it's advantages.
BUT I think heavy training is the optimal way for packing on mass.
I do alternate myself, but I focus mostly on heavy lifting.

Some will say alternate to lighter every other workout, but I think it should be more like maybe every 3 to 4 workouts haver a lighter one

its a good idea to change it up, but IMO i also think its no idea to be changing something every week because how would you know what works, if you're changing something every week? Like BGLD said i like switching some stuff around every 3-5 weeks
