Default Out of whey so i had an idea...

Since im out of whey protein and a job ( i come from a family that you work for your own sh!t if you want it) so no job=no money=no protein.... simple as that... my mom said if i get a job here she would spot me for a 10lb bag since i'll pay her back, but i have yet to hear from the job. My friend works there and said they aren't starting orientation for another 3 weeks. So i was thinking why not since im cutting down on cal's "my shakes" wake up and do some hiit about 4 times a week and cut down on some fat? Does this sound like a good idea to anyone? pros cons?
thx

Just eat some food instead - surely your mom won't begrudge you that.

Have a can of salmon or tuna instead of your shake.

well i find it hard to get that much protein in (since im out of protein powder) cuz that accounted for 96 grams of my protein per day... So my question is should i just start doing HIIT in the morning since i wont have a whole excess amount of protein to throw towards my muscle gains... So basically a cutting cycle since im taking out 480 calories and 96 grams of protein...

This is EXACTLY what I was going to say. Only I wasn't going to use the word begrudge....LOL...it's just not in me....I was going to use deprive or something to that effect.

+1 to the food suggestion. If it were me, I'd find the ways to make up for the protein that way.

I kinda get what your asking....I don't think you should because when your cutting down you still need high protein inake. Shakes really don't have that much fat or calories, especially when mixed with water. You'd probably just go catabolic and loose alot of muscle. So, as everyone else said, just eat some damn food.

well heres the thing... i calculated everything up and i get around 210g of protein i weigh 175 pounds, and im 5'11".. Also every meal i eat is packed w/ protein, morning i have eggs w/ rolled oats (i normally have a shake here but im out) lunch tuna sandwich, string cheese, 2-3 milks, nutrigrain bar... I normally have a post workout shake.. but again im out. After school snack i mix either a can of tuna or chicken w/ light mayo and eat that. Dinner is usually chicken breast or some other high protein meat. ANother snack if i do is veggies or another mixing of tuna or chicken...

so basically this thread was just kinda stating that im going to start doing HIIT in the mornings before school and i wont have as much protein.. BTW my mom pulled through w/ my requests at the grocery store tonight and got me a multivitamin, and Omega-3 Flaxseed oil pills WOOT!

You may want to find alternatives for the tuna. Eating it that many times a day your going to find eventually you'll hate it. I love tuna but eating it 3-4 times a day it would get old fast.

Well if you think this is a chance to do some cutting, then do it. Just eat lots of quality food and plan accordingly. Cut or bulk is all about calorie in and out, don't matter if there's whey or not.

i dont see why u dont just eat more protein rich foods.
and about doing stuff even though u hate it. ull find that its much easier to just eat and do things u dont mind. eventually because ull gradually start to hate tuna more and more ur gonna leave it out. so ur missing out. basically ull be more successful if u eat meals u like. but thats my opinion. alot of people probly think differently.

Lemon is a great addition to Tuna. The more you can mix and match your diet, the better you'll be in sticking with it. Not saying mix bad foods with good foods, just find different meals/snacks/lunches, etc that you can incorporate, change, and substitute and the better off you'll be.

Believe me on that. Some Lemon, lettuce, mayo, and tuna fish makes for an awesome sandwich.

It's totally possible to be able to give some variety to what you're eating, without sacrificing the benefits of the same...there's plenty of options out there I'm sure that would work. I know I would eventually tire of poultry (chicken and turkey) so I find other ways to prepare it so I don't and still not screw up my diet.
