Default 1 Rpm

How often do you guys go for your 1 rpm? I ask because when I go for my 1 rpm the rest of my chest workout is weak. I feel it's important to not only guage yourself though but to also shock your muscles. So I ask, how often do you suggest going for your 1 rpm?

Never! I don't see the need. As long as I am making gains on my lifts I don't care.

Never, no reason in hell to do that unless you are a power lifter.

I do it every other month or so. I too think it's good for a switch. I think it's easy to gauge your progress that way too.

I dont ever do it, but if you were going to, i'd do this.

From a lot of reading i've done, its good to take an "off" week every 8 weeks. And by off i mean just do light workouts, nothing crazy. So this would be a great time to test out your max weights!
