Skullcrushers are my fav for triceps. I highly recommend that you add them...People around here don't seem to think that press downs are really all that effective...I have never really done them so I don't know that to be true. Dips are also really good for triceps.

BUMP

* Kickbacks suck
* Pressdowns dont build significant mass
But pressdowns they do have there place in tricep training and development.
I use mainly use pressdowns to get started and get my elbows nice and lubed up and only use them for 3 working sets

You need to include extensions or dips to build those triceps up.

Here's a good recommendation

Skullcrushers
Seated Extensions
Or Standing Extensions
Dips

These are the biggest mass builders in my opinion

I never do tricep isolations and they're far better than my bis, just from benching and shoulder presses. Maybe try close-grip benches?

Skull crushers superset with close grip bench press. It has done wonders for me and everyone i show it to; it will quickly become one of your favorite exercises.

piss kickbacks off--

push downs x 2 sets
close grip x 2 sets
lying extentions x 2 sets

Swap close grip with weighted dips periodically.

Skullcrushers, hands down. I give them credit for my arm size.

Skullcrushers are key.

Does anybody here to skullcrushers on an incline??

Some dude at the gym suggested I try them, bbecause with the incline you cant possibly cheat, so ive been doing them and they feel gooood.
I guess you could call them back-of-skullcrushers.

Ive done them on a decline, and i actually prefer it. I dont see how an incline would keep you from cheating.

Board, floor or rack presses which emphasize the last portion of the bench and consequently blast the triceps are great. Dips, regular bench, Tate presses and skull crushers are good too.

My personal favorite, which I'm surprised no one has said it yet, is reverse grip bench presses. Same technique as close grip, but puts the load on your tri's. Overhead tricep extentions with the e-z curl bar are great too.

Skullcrushers on an incline?

It's called a Tricep Extension.

Once you do it seated or inclined back slightly it's an Extension.

You probably meant in a decline position. I do them this way in cycles and then the normal.

I love threads like this.........like its the exercise thats going to make a difference. *shakes head*

Its HOW you do the exercise, not the exercise itself that makes a difference. Ive explained this concept over and over again in threads like this, and people still jump in making like its the exercise itself that does it. I dont do anything special. Think Im doin ok in the tricep department?

Pick an exercise. ANY exercise. Experiment with it untill you feel it entirely IN THE TRICEP. Then keep doing it. This is not rocket science, folks. The human body works one way and one way only.

V's right, plus he gets chance to show off his tri's lol.
People also gotta remember the indirect tricep work thats happens with pressing movements ( bench, military etc)

BIG BIG BUMP V, tris really need tobe isolated in lots of those exercises, you can get a lot more out of some triceps exercises by cutting back on the weight and increasing the concenteration of crrect form to isolate the muscle. take each rep to its full range, then squeeze at the end to make sure your getting a full contraction. like V says, lots of exercises will work fine, i mix up my tri routine all the time, my standard favorites though are dips and weighted dips, skullcrushers supersetted with close grip bench, overhead rope extensions, and seated bench dips with LOTS of weight on the lap
