Default Whey Protein - Help Understand

I have been working out for years now, however, I'm training for the first time to compete. I'm reading tons of articles on Whey Protein. I was wondering if someone can better explain the best way to take this. I'm a 107 pound woman and want to tone and build some muscle.

From what ive read and been told Its best to take whey protein right after your workout since its fast absorbing. As far as how much to take and what kind I usually drink 1 or 2 shakes a day..usually before and after a workout. But Im sure someone else will have a better answer for you, other then the right after the workout part.

it is best to take a whey protein isolate about 45 minutes post workout... for bed time and through out the day it is better to take a whey protein concentrate or blend of the two... i like muscle milk it is a blend and i take it post workout and throughout the day
