Under the bar doing heavy squats-(just happened on monday)- had 6 plates/585 on the bar going into my 4th rep; hit the bottom of the hole blowing out to come back up got 1/2 way up and started seeing the twinklie light appear afterwards things turned kinda gray got back to the top -racked the bar turned to my spotters and said boy that was almost lights out! and puked all over 1 of em- just out of no where stomach contents emptied on my friend..felt really bad for him - last meal 2 hours before training was : spinach salad w/ oilve oil and 1 pound of orange roughy & brown rice....yeah not only did it look vile it stank soo bad! I paid for his cleaning.

Personally I try to zone out and get in my own world when lifting so I don't care what they think, but for the sake of making the OP feel better: I often have to do a number 2 during my workouts, and the bathroom is right next to a place where people look in the mirror doing curls, needless to say, between the sound affects and the odors attacking unsuspecting lifters during my bathroom sessions, I've gotten some strange reactions...

Last Friday after work at the gym this huge woman came in (estimated 250 down from 300 when she began training) and started doing side crunches on one of the large stability balls. The place was crowded and everyone was working out with the weights or doing aerobics when all of a sudden there was a loud *POP!*
She had popped the ball. Everyone stopped and looked. I felt really bad for her but she just got up, tossed the popped ball in the trash, and kept right on doing her workout on the mat (sans ball). I thought to myself, "now that's what it takes!" I talked to her a little bit later and she is totally committed and has a personal trainer. She said she is coming down to an appropriate weight, no matter what it takes (again she has made a good start by dropping 50 lbs) and that training and diet changes will be for the rest of her life. Apparently, she got that big because she was raised by overweight parents that just plumped her up too. It appears to not be genetic but due to family ignorance regarding diet and exercise. She's breaking the cycle. I know, I know... but still it's good to see committed people doing what it takes no matter the circumstances (circumstances be damned I'm going to do it for life attitude).

Initial reaction: bwaahahahhahaha....I would probably require an ambulance to take me away if I saw that. I would just collapse and convulse, sort of like Beavis. I can't fathom surpressing my laughter.
Afterwards: Now that's hardcore. To take the embarassment, shrug it off and keep going... |

Man mine was pretty bad I hated mine. I was doing the incline DB press and did my 2 sets i was doing with the 55 pounders. I get up and pick the 55s that were at my side and the bench at my gym has this foot rest kind of thing and I tripped over it making a HUGE noise and everyone started to stare at me I just swore and quickly ended my day early cause those 55s hurt when they pull you down holy ****.
