no, you have to lower the weight as far as what you could do without pre- exaust - if you were to take out the delts, that would force the stronger muscle (triceps) to do the work

think of it like this - if someone were to train there triceps for a year or so, but never train there shoulders - then they start doing overhead presses - the stronger muscle (triceps) will take most the load, an they would have a lot of trouble building up there shoulders with this movement

the deltoids have to be the stronger muscle group if you take out your triceps first, so they get a better workout - thats what the pre-exaust system is about - look it up, or better yet - try the workout

Now that you mention it I went through a phase of about 3 years where I didn't work out my legs or shoulders (high school). Now my triceps are by far the strongest muscle I have because I worked them out more than anything. I bet by pre exhausting my tris I could finally get a delt workout that felt like it was doing something. I'll try it out and let you know if it does the trick. Thanks.

Pre-exhaust tris for a delt workout??? It sounds like you are not using good form. When I work my delts there is very little tricep involvement. You are doing upright rows right? How are tri's involved with those if you are using good form??? I would suggest trying less weight (as was already said) and more sets. I like to do a really heavy set at some point as well (like one where you can only do 3-4 reps) then really burn them out with a light set at the end...what is done inbetween is up to you.
