Default Best Lower Back Exercises

Could you tell me what you guys are doing for your lower back? I feel as though i'm neglecting it although I know it gets hit pretty good during squats.

it should not be getting hit pretty hard during squats...a little yes, but not a ton, check your form and consider a belt.

I do deadlifts...with the occasional good mornings or roman chair.

Hyperextensions are good too.

I'm still scared of good mornings... I feel like if something decides to give, it's will be over before you knew anything went wrong.

Squats, and deadlifts are doing it for me for now... someday, I'll probably throw in some good mornings.

You could try seated Good Mornings.

Just a suggestion.

are deadlifts better than hyperextensions? Ive always just done hyperextensions, feels like it gets worked pretty good. I too am leary of heavy lifting with my lower back

I agree with the consensus on here...deadlifts, hyperextensions, and good mornings. Just make sure proper form is used on these, hurting your lower back is very bad news.
