Default Supplement question

Hi, I know there is alot of info on supplements on this forum, its a just to much to read through, this being my first time here. My question is I dont want to spend mad money on supplements as a matter of fact one supplement is all im looking for. I been out of the scene for about 6 years and want to know what the best supplement to take for muscle mass. I guess you could ask yourself if you had only one supplement to take to an island what would it be?
I'm 33 about 6' 210 pounds, im in good shape (legs a little small for my taste)and I have a fast metabolism. I dont mind spending the money on a supplement, just don't want to go crazy with them. Just want something for a little help. Thanks

john

You're in the wrong section first of all, but IMO the best sup there is would be protein, not including a good mult vitamin.

Could you be a little more specific? Like maybe a brand or type

I personally take ON (Optimum Nutrition) which also seems to be the most popular on this board. Its cheap and works. As far as a multi, I take the Mega Mens from GNC, but only buy them on sale.

Opti-men from Optimum Nutrition is the multi I'm using right now, cheap and good. ON 100% whey is good if you're on a budget, but since you should only need to take it about once a day you could go for something a little higher quality. Ergopharm GF Pro or Nature's Best IsoPure are probably the best whey proteins out there right now. Muscle Milk, Evopro, Micellar Matrix are probly the best casein proteins. I'f you're looking for something truly all purpose you could hit ON Pro Complex, it's pricier than 100% whey, but it's worth it, I definitely grow really good when I use that stuff, and it's all my dad uses.

Best supplements huh?

All you really need.......whey protein, good diet, multi-vitamin. If you want, creatine, maybe an amino acid supp, and a few others....but I don't bother with anything besides whey and a multi-vitamin.

Thx, I already do a good diet, I was a heavy lifter back in the early 90's and I took protein and vitamins back then. I guess I was wondering if anything new has come out in the last 10 years but I guess not
