Bioavailability. Mix it when u are ready to drink it. Once you mix it, check out this stuff called ICE. If you have never heard of it, I can ship you a 20lb bag.

Im with Boyd on this one. I always make my shakes/drinks just before I drink them. I dont let them sit around. Mix it, drink it. Get yourself a blender bottle, these work awesome. Throw your powder in there and take it with you and when ready to take it, add water, shake, and drink.
Ice..

Don't mix them before hand, if you have to have them cold either have some chilled water in the fridge, and mix or add a few ice cubes to your shaker cup when you're mixing. I take my shakes after I get ready for work at the gym so I just use a bottle of water, if you're doing that maybe toss a bottle of water into a big freezer bag of ice and put that in your gym bag that way you're not lugging a mini cooler and ice packs or whatever. |

It isn't a huge deal, but I couldn't remember the reason for not mixing protein/bcaa's early, but the Bioavailability thing Boyd mentioned rung the bell in my head.

Falling back on my extensive biology and chemistry knowledge (this is, of course a lie I'm a computer nerd) wouldn't making a homogeneous dextrose/water solution have limited to no impact on the delivery of the dextrose (assuming you're not using boiling water). And then you could use that solution to mix your powder?
Edit to add: Next time remind me to refresh the page before responding....you said that in the above post. Last edited by Anticor; 09-23-2009 at 08:46 AM. Reason: <---- that guy is slow |

I have never tried Dextrose, but Waxy Maize is pretty good. It's a fine a powder that clumps similar to protein powder... Mix it well and you won't have to worry about them.

I just laughed loudly and obnoxiously in the middle of my office... Strange stares all around. Oh well, there's only like 4 of us here due to the G-20 anyways. Good sh*t.
