I would go go with what the directions say liek Amy is suggesting but you'll find that many times, the company's suggestions instruct you to take multiple servings a day so you can run out of your supply in like 3 days (e.g. Cytosport Muscle Milk). Your best bet is to use this rule of the thumb. Eat more calories and if you DO use a weight gainer, take it in between meals as a snack. Weight gainers don't really replace meals. Neither do products marketed as "meal replacements/MRPs"
