There is not a whole lot of difference between powder and pill. I prefer pill just because I can carry them with me during my busy schedule and pop them when needed. Powder is generally a bit cheaper, but not by a whole lot.
Similar to creatine, arginine and glutamine can both benefit from an insulin spike that comes from simple carbs (dextrose) and sugar. A lot of people suggest drinking a sweet juice like apple or grape juice post-workout with your creatine for added absorption. |

Thanks for the info Gill.
I know an average dose of Arginine is 2-3 grams 30min. before workout. But what about Glutamine? Whats a good dose for someone who has never supplemented it before, I've had it in protein shakes but never by its self. I'm thinking I should bring it to the gym and take it before I leave, so when I get home I can take my protein shake. |
