Default Arginine

Just wondering how useful this is in quick muscle growth and how often should i take it and when is best before/after workout ?

twice a day, once on an empty stomach in the morning, again before you train.

Just like any supplement, thats debatable. Arginine is produced naturally by the body; however the body does not produce enough. Some will say that you can supplement simply by eating beef. As far as what it does, it increases production of growth hormone, and increased blood flow to the muscles, hence the "pump". Others argue that it releases prolactin which may decrease T levels. I supplement with Arginine and I know a lot of people that do as well. If it is effective or not I guess depends on the individual. Try it, if you see a difference, there is your answer.

If I'm not mistaken, it would be a good idea to supplement with straight L-Lysine & straight L-Ornithine if you're going to be incorporating straight Arginine into your diet. musclexntx brought this up a while back and he was recommending this as well due to the fact that those three aminos work synergistically so you'd probably fare better going down this route.

Thats a very good point that I neglected to mention, I take Arginine/Ornithine at a 2:1 ratio.
