I just bought some BSN products and am looking for the best advice as to when is the best time to take, stack, do's, dont's, stuff.
I bought: Syntha6 Nitrix Cell Mass NO Xplode I'm 210lbs - 39 years old and have been weight lifting for the past 10 years. I'm currently dieting b/c I'm only 5' 10" and would like to get down to at least 188lbs. I superset everything now at the gym as it burns the most calories. I haven't taken any supplements for the past year in a half, and thought it was time to start again. I appreciate any feedback on taking these products - Regards, Myaghi |

I wish I posted my questions before I bought all this stuff. When I first purchased everything and read over all the directions, it dawned on me that I should "google" a bodybuilding website to find out some of this information. Thus, my questions.
I should have worked backwards - So the two that seem okay to take are: Nitrix, and the NO Xplode? What was the article on CellMass? Thanks for the info/ feedback. |

NO Xplode is pretty good as a preworkout energy boost. Careful if you're sensitive to stimulants though because it will definitely make you jittery if you're not careful.
I'm not positive on the controversy over Cell Mass but I believe it has to do with BSN supposedly not putting Creatine in Cell Mass or it not being the proper type of Creatine. Nitrix is sort of a joke. You're suppose to take in upwards of 16 pills a day according to their stack. Past that, reviews on Nitrix are pretty crappy anyway. Syntha 6 is fine as a protein supplement. It tastes good and has a multi-layered protein complex. The downside of it is how much sugar and cholesterol it has in it. |

Do heavy compound lifts. View your weight training as a way to stimulate muscle growth first. If you're going intense, you'll burn plenty of calories, but depend on meal timing and eating the right foods in the right amounts to aid you in losing fat. And you just spent a lot of loot on something that in the end will provide a marginal difference, if any. |

thanks for the feedback - I kind of figured I should have checked here first b4 buying all that stuff.
I used to lift pretty heavy but all that does is when I stop lifting and gain weight is make me look even heavier - I do mix in heavy weights as I like to vary my workouts to stimulate growth. Thanks again for the feedback - I won't be buying all that stuff in the future - |

Do yourself a favor-
Return it all. Buy a multivitamin, 100% whey protien, get on a 6 meal a day diet plan and add 4-5 days of 45 mins of cardio to your plan, drinking at least a gallon of water a day. Keep lower carbs, high protien. After some consistency in the workouts, cardio and diet you should see some good results. After a while add in a fat burner such as animal cuts or hydroxycut hardcore and you will see even more results. Put the magazines or "comic books" as I like to call them away. Those ads are all lies and the companies are gimmicks. The only one I would trust is Universal/Animal. If you have any affiliation with these guys like I do you understand that they are in it for the lifter and are far from the bs. They cut the fat and tell the truth. There products give results. Bottom line ALWAYS do your research before buying anything. So many people are too quick to be like "take this, buy this, this worked great" but self education is worth so much more. Read read read- read reviews, learn the ingredients yourself. Pretty soon you will be able to pick up a product, look at a label and know if its going to work for you or not.

Rob just gave you one hell of good piece of advice. +Rep.
Anyways, don't feel like you wasted your money completely. Since you have them, use them until they are out. NO-Xplode can be a great way to get you back into working out without feeling miserable all the time. Cell-Mass will protect your muscles from extensive soreness. Syntha will help you get in the routine of being protein-aware. Nitrix may or may not give you some longevity to your workouts, but don't be afraid to atleast try it. Think of it as a starter pack. Gets you in the game, but at some point you'll need to step it up to really compete (with yourself or others). |

I think that the main point is that supplements only compliment hard work...not the other way around. If you want real results its honestly in your diet first and then your workout routine. After that you get a little "edge" with supps. Most dont see the advantage or the difference from using supps until they are at a crazy level with sick conditioning. I have heard some of the biggest guys I know say that they would rather miss a workout than a meal- thats how important nutrition is in this game. So stay the path- get your diet impeccable and your workout routine to a science. Then use supps.
