I have had no luck with No Xplode and Cell mass and was told to try creatine pills. When should I take the pills? Before I work out, afterwards, when I wake up etc? Also should I take it on days I don’t work out and if so when?

Creatine is usually taken post workout when the body is most apt to absorb nutrients. Taking it 30 mins before you hit the gym wouldnt hurt and may give you a little something but post workout is most important.
Taking creatine on days you dont workout is important. Consuming about 5 grams a day regardless of workout schedule is important to keep your levels or creatine constant. You will get the most out of your creatine supplementation this way.
