Yeah i ordered my tub of real food the other day, its such an awesome supp....
The guy asked for supps taken, not food eaten. And my real answer if ON Whey, since i started taking that i recover quicker, its easier than eating right after my workout and acts faster but i could be wrong. Last edited by Tony545; 02-12-2008 at 08:41 AM. |

I only use half of the suggested 100g serving immediately post work out. All it really is is dextrose and CEE

It's been said before on here and other places - NOTHING replaces hard work and proper eating if you really want to make strides in your lifting. Just wanted to make that point clear. </return thread to topic>

Of the bigger guys I know, most dont take any supps at all (yeah go figure huh?). It's the little guys, the buck 50's that have a whole list of supps they use. These guys are the supplement whores that the big pimps of the industry use to keep getting richer every year (MuscleTech, Gaspari, etc) And yet, month after month these guys dont make much progress at all, yet they keep forking out their allowances on these garbage supps. Get in the gym, put in real work, eat hard and sleep well...Do this and you wont be looking outward for supplements and other quick fixes and things to waste your money on. Thats just the cold hard facts of the matter .. Last edited by BiggerGuns=LongerDrives; 02-12-2008 at 02:01 PM. |

Totally man... This ridiculous usage of wording (bone chilling muscle pumps and brain splitting burst of strength, etc) works on the majority of the people that think this is a cheap way to get big quick. Who cares about anything else? Diet - that's overrated. Carbs, what are those? This MuscleTech label describes none of the above, this is the ONLY thing I need. Money in the bank, ateast for MuscleTech and companies beyond.

While I generally agree with BGBD, I personally think some supplements do very well at just that... supplementing. As a student of professional studies, my budget and time is greatly restricted. If I can spend 20 bucks on a tub of whey protein that lasts me a month, it saves me time and money in the end. I don't have the resources to buy tons of groceries or to sit down and eat squarely 5 times a day.
Trying to be efficient with my resources shouldn't be frowned upon by those of you who have the time and money to buy mounds of food. At the same merit, I don't expect my whey to do the work for me. Anyway, thats my couple pennies. |

Its just when someone asks for supplement advice or a question why tell him to eat more. I've never tried cell-tech and i dont think i will, tried the Scivation BCAA's (xtend) im waiting for some more in the post but i'd buy them just for the flavour |

I really wasnt referring to Whey as it's more of a staple in most lifters diets in some capacity or another...It's basically real food in powder form right? Also a quick protein shake perhaps up to twice per day is perfectly acceptable as thats not "relying" on it. However, I have seen guys post up their diets and they take in 6-7 shakes a day, so thats a different story. There's one thing of being stressed on time, then there's another of just being plain damn lazy. I was referring to all the N/O supps, all the forms of creatine, the fat burners, cell volumizers, mass developers, protein synthesizers, fake prohormones, glutamine, CLA, ZMA Yohimbe, St. John's Wort (LOL!), etc, etc..etc... Also, my schedule is every bit as hectic as the next guys.... I get up everyday at 6:30 AM and dont get home till 5:00PM. I then have 2 kids that I have attend to and be a father and spend some quality time, take to soccer practice, ballet, the whole deal. I then get an hour to workout and my only other free time is when they are asleep and I usually spend that time to prepare my meals. I cook my own meals and prepare them the night before or days in advance and freeze the rest. I pack and load 3 meals with me in my lunch box and I take to work with me (mid morning, lunch and afternoon meals are set). So it's all about time management and one can easily be adjust their methods to better suit the lifestyle needed for a lifter who wants to make progress.
